Posada Barrancas and Divisadero are stations of the Chepe Train that is located near the set of 6 ravines that are four times bigger than those of the Grand Canyon of Arizona in the United States.
It is a set of several ravines where there is a great variety of activities eco-tourism that include a view to the Barrancas de Cadameña, Barrancas de Batopilas, Barrancas de Sinforosa, Barrancas del Cobre and Barrancas de Urique. Among the many activities you can learn rock climbing, rappelling, mountain biking, you can go for a walk, camp, horseback riding and also fishing. There are several places to visit in Posada Barrancas and Divisadero, such as Rancho Tarahumara of “Wakajipare”, the Urique River, the town of “Aeroponaphunic” with its church and school and the Divisadero viewpoint, where you can enjoy the impressive landscapes of Copper Canyon and buy local handicrafts.
Near the Posada station Barrancas and Divisadero is the Natural Park Barrancas del Cobre, which offers several eco-tourism activities, has a set of seven zip lines and two suspension bridges to add almost 5 km of travel, a via ferrata that consists of rappel, climbing in rock and a small suspension bridge accessed by means of a “Tarzan jump”, a restaurant with spectacular terraces and glass floor, path s for walking, rental of mountain bikes, camping spaces, horseback riding and the third longest cable car in the world, with 3 km of cable without intermediate towers. The place is part of the Adventure Tourism Festival, which attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world. Southwest of the Barrancas del Cobre Natural Park at 16 Kilometer from Guachochi is the little-known Sinforosa Canyon, which is called the queen of canyons. thanks to the 1830 meters high that allow us to see a beautiful and deep view from its vantage point called summits of Huerachi. In its bottom runs the green river, the most important tributary of the Fuerte River.
Located in the central part of the Barrancas del Cobre Natural Park, near the Divisadero and the Posada Barrancas and Divisadero station is the Urique Canyon with exactly 1879 meters of height , is one of the deepest ravines in the region; where you can see a large forest of pine and oak and its beautiful wildlife full of eagles, woodpeckers, deer, raccoons, otters, among many others.
Barranca de Candameña is located in the northwestern part of the Barrancas del Cobre Natural Park, a 7 kilometers from Basaseachi and the Posada Barrancas and Divisadero station; the ravine offers a rocky ledge 453 meters high, where you will find viewpoints that will allow you to appreciate the more than 700 meters of absolute vertical, as well as an extensive forest of pine and oak.
